Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years of ER experience required License: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state/district is required Certifications: NIHSS, TNCC, BLS, PALS, and ACLS required Must-Have: BSN highly desired, Cerner experience required Description: The Emergency Department is a fast-paced environment that treats a wide variety of patients. ED nurses manage critical care skills such as medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusion of blood, and chest tubes. Patients range from urgent care cases to psychiatric, pediatric, and critical care/trauma patients. Nurses coordinate and deliver care to patients with complex nursing care needs to ensure the highest level of safety and quality. Promoting a positive patient experience is essential in this role. Travelers must be willing and able to work in the trauma room as the bedside trauma RN, with a patient ratio of 1:5.
